PISE 2019

Impact Beyond Yourself

This year, we will host PISE Camps in three Southern cities in Vietnam. Our goal is to bring life-changing experiences to 48 mentees and to bring at least nine social projects into reality.

Thu Nguyen

Cornell University (USA)

As a rising junior majoring in Applied Economics and Management at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, Thu holds a high standard to her work ethics. Returning to Vietnam this summer with her immense experiences in the business field, this junior intern at the Asian and Asian-American Center wishes to bring a professional training experience to the future mentees of PISE 2019.

Chau Tran

Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University (Japan)

Recently graduated from Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University with a degree in Strategic Management and Organization, and currently working as a Business Development Assistant Manager for Shimizu Vietnam Co. Ltd., Chau aspires to bring PISE back to her hometown and be a part of the entrepreneurial movement that is undertaking among the Vietnamese youth.

Quan Tang

University of Economics HCMC (Vietnam)

Currently a rising junior at the International School of Business at the University of Economics HCMC, Quan demonstrates immense leadership skills and guidance abilities at a young age. This National Round champion at the P&G CEO Challenge 2019 will be joining PISE this summer in mentoring our future mentees and guiding them in their path to create a positive impact onto their local community.

Linh Vu

New York University Abu Dhabi (UAE & USA)

This rising junior majoring in Economics at NYU Abu Dhabi has been heavily involved in many social projects ever since she was in high school. Linh's participation in charity organizations, such as Rhythms of Life - a London-based organization that distribute food to homeless people on a weekly basis - signify her commitment to guiding our mentees in bringing about social changes to the Vietnamese community.

Meet the mentors who will join PISE 2019 in Cao Lanh City!

Vu Linh Nguyen

Vanderbilt University (USA)

As the recipient of Vanderbilt Nichols Humanitarian Funds 2019, this rising sophomore holds a story that touches many people's heart. Her positive energy is transferred into her work ethics, as she demonstrates devoted engagement to community and social dynamics. Founder of the Sustainable and Agriculture and Social Enterprise and Advisory Board Member of the Vanderbilt International Student and Scholar Services, Linh is compassionate towards the circumstances of the demographic PISE is targeting at, and wishes to join the organization this summer as a mentor leading her team to create their own social project.

Chau Hoang

University of Tsukuba (Japan)

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences at the University of Tsukuba, Chau is the Ambassador for Youth Opportunity in Japan. This Secretary of Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at World Federation of United Nations Associate (WFUNA) in Geneva wishes to contribute to this new movement among the younger generation in Vietnam through consulting her mentees in reaching their ultimate goal of social renovation.

Tan Nguyen

HCMC University of Law (Vietnam)

A senior at HCMC University of Law majoring in Commercial Law and Administration, Tan shows a high level of social engagement and commitment through his participation in multiple extracurricular activities. Having led a variety of competitions and programs, such as "The Future Administrator" and "ASEAN Run," this former Chairman of the Suc Song Moi club will be joining PISE Cao Lãnh 2019 as a mentor guiding his mentees in building their own social project.

Mai-Khanh Nguyen

Minerva Schools at KGI (USA)

This rising sophomore at Minerva School at KGI shows a strong level of commitment and dedication to her work despite her young age. Having been a core member to the SEALNet project and thus traveling to 3 different countries in the South East Asian region, Khanh displays her wish to contribute to society, eventually leading her to join PISE Cao Lanh as a mentor for this year's new cohort of mentees.

Linh Ha

Babson College (USA)

A rising junior at Babson College, majoring in Business Administration and Management, Linh shows her interest in community development and engagement since her high school career. Founder of Kfardio Vietnam and an Israel-Asian Leaders Fellow at the Israel-Asia Center, Linh has proven that her leadership skills are exceptional among her peers. Joining PISE this summer, she wishes to be able to engage with her mentees and guide them in creating their own social impacts.

Thuyen Duong

Foreign Trade University HCMC (Vietnam)

This rising senior at Foreign Trade University, currently majoring in International Business Administration, is the founder of the Can Tho branch of AIESEC, a global youth leadership development organization that is affiliated with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). With his experience and skills in strategic management, and goal to help the Vietnamese youth in this new wave of innovation in the 21st century, Thuyen will be joining PISE this summer as a mentor for the mentees at PISE Can Tho.

Trinh Doan

Toyo University (Japan)

As a rising junior at Toyo University majoring in Global Innovation Studies, Trinh demonstrates her passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. The matter of global affairs has led her to found the Global Leadership Incubator, a Tokyo-based organization that supports the innovation movement among the youth community in Japan. With a similar purpose applied to her home country, Trinh is joining PISE 2019 as one of the mentors for PISE Can Tho.

Phu Pham

Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University (Japan)

A senior at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University soon to be graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Phu holds an impressive list of achievements in the field of business and entrepreneurship. Having led his team in winning the Final round of the CFA Institute Research Challenge in 2018, this Training Coordinator for the Academic Circle at the Business Case Development Committee wishes to pass down his knowledge and experience to the younger generation in Vietnam and accompany them in their path to create their own changes.
